Get fit for summer with Sydney Frontrunners.
It's the ideal way to get fit for summer – a nice jog around beautiful Centennial Park. On Saturday 8th October, local gay and lesbian running club, Sydney Frontrunners, invites you to come along and join one of their regular runs. They always love to welcome more runners of absolutely all abilities – especially women runners.
If you're new to running and want a gentle pace you can join the 5km run. For the more adventurous there's an 8km or 12km run. All the runs will be led by Frontrunner's members so you won't get left behind or lost in the park. And if you really want to east into exercise gently, there's a 5km walk around the park. All runs and walks start and end at the Duck Pond on Parkes Drive in the centre of the park.
An extra attraction of running or walking with Frontrunners is the excellent breakfast and coffee available from the Ponds Kiosk – a takeway van housed in a 1950s style caravan and conveniently close to where the runs end.
Meet at the Duck Pond, Parkes Drive, in the centre of Centennial Park. Frontrunners will have a banner so new runners can find them.
There's no need to book in, you can just turn up on the day. If you would like to find out more about Frontrunners check out the website or email Vicki Jeffreys
