Children’s services provider Key Assets has been named the most inclusive small business for LGBTI people for the second year in a row.
Children’s services provider Key Assets has been named Australia’s highest-ranking small employer for LGBTI inclusion.
The company was honoured with the title at the 2016 Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) Awards for the second consecutive year.
Key Assets Executive Director Rob Ryan said that the business is proud to associate with a movement that is committed to valuing diversity in the workplace.
“Our organisation is built around an identity which values the contribution that people make to the lives of others, and believes that people are more than labels,” he said.
Ryan said that although inclusion happens naturally in Key Assets’ workplaces, it is amazing to be recognised for the fact publicly.
The organisation will continue to grow and develop its commitment to LGBTI inclusion throughout the workplace and the community.
Ryan thanked employees, carers and young people, “for their continuing efforts in communicating our commitment to diversity and inclusion for the LGBTI community.”
