CarsGuide and Uber partner to raise money for LGBT charity, Aurora Group.

The ‘Mardi Car’ has arrived on the streets of Sydney, offering people the chance to travel in style and colour this Mardi Gras with free rides in one of three individually designed Volkswagens.

The cars, designed by Sydney Illustrator Irene Feleo, feature birds of paradise, festival attendees dancing and the theme of cosmic love.

They were created by online car marketplace CarsGuide as an opportunity to give back to the community and celebrate an important date in the Sydney calendar.

To take advantage of the best free ride of the festival, Sydney Uber users will need to enter the ‘MARDICAR’ promo code into their Uber app for free travel between 2pm-10pm, until March 7.

CarsGuide will back the Uber ride fares and will donate ten dollars for each ride in each Mardi Car to The Aurora Group Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transexual (LGBT) umbrella charity.
