The Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Chorus, in conjunction with the Melbourne Band, presents this festive extravaganza for the whole family!
The Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Chorus (MGLC) and the Melbourne Rainbow Band proudly present its Christmas gift to the community: Carols by Queerlight in the historic setting of Eakins Hall in Queen’s College – The University of Melbourne.
This year will offer a broad range of Christmas repertoire, with songs and music from all corners of the globe, bringing together the vocal power of MGLC and the musical excellence of the MRB in classics such as ‘O Come All Ye Faithful, and works such as ‘Betelehemu’ and ‘Sure on This Shining Night’ rounding out a beautiful celebration of a song at this most joyous time of year.
The Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Youth Chorus will also perform on the night, Dr. Kathleen McGuire, MGLC Music Director is excited to be working with the Melbourne Rainbow Band and says “Without giving too much away, the program is sure to have you swaying in the aisles, smiling from ear to ear, and jingling some bells!”

The award-winning Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Chorus, founded in 1990, is an established favourite of Melbourne’s GLBTIQ community and a wider world of music lovers of all backgrounds and ages. New members are always welcome.
