L Word creator Ilene Chaiken proved she still has the power to send lesbians and bi women all aquiver when she posted this tweet at the weekend:
@TheLWord @jenniferbeals @katemoennig @Leisha_Hailey @onlysarahshahi @Erincdu @LaurelLHolloman @danielasea So excited! Can’t wait…!

Former cast members Kate Moennig and Sarah Shahi were pretty excited about the reunion too:
@ilenechaiken @TheLWord @jenniferbeals @Leisha_Hailey @onlysarahshahi @Erincdu @LaurelLHolloman @danielasea Can’t wait to be with my gals again!!
— kate moennig (@katemoennig) May 20, 2017
@ilenechaiken @TheLWord @jenniferbeals @katemoennig @Leisha_Hailey @Erincdu @LaurelLHolloman @danielasea Me too!! It’s been WAYYYYYY TOO LONG
— Sarah Shahi (@onlysarahshahi) May 20, 2017
Could this be for real? Are we really finally getting The L Word reboot we’ve longed for? Or are they just all meeting up for a casual brunch and accidentally on purpose toying with the hearts and minds of queer women everywhere?
Hardcore fans were desperate to find out the truth and chose to express their desperation through their favourite L Word moments.

Signs are looking promising. Last year Jennifer Beals confirmed she’d be well up for a reunion during an interview with People. She also had a few ideas about how the series might be different now.
