In true Walsh style, this play is richly worded and the story oscillates between almost farcical comedy to stomach-churning tragedy as the 4 men vie for the attention and affections of the treasure that is Penelope. Under the deft direction of Kate Gaul, Penelope is a vaudevillian, irreverent, poetic work based on the final chapter of Homer’s The Odyssey.
