Each year, the Aurora Ball aims to bring together Sydney’s LGBTI community members to celebrate pride and diversity while raising much-needed funds for charities and programs that support LGBTI people.
Funds raised on the night go to support organisations like Aurora’s main grant recipient, Twenty10, incorporating the Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service.
This year, well-loved performers iOTA, Trevor Ashley and Rhonda Burchmore will provide the highlight entertainment that this year’s sold out event.
iOta has earned a reputation as a magnetic performer who can command an audience from the stage, on the big screen or fronting his own band.
Aurora Chairperson Alison King said, “We are thrilled to have iOTA bringing his creativity and killer voice to this year’s Aurora Ball. Mysterious, magnetic, a natural entertainer—who else better captures the spirit of Sydney’s LGBTI menagerie?
Trevor Ashley and Rhonda Burchmore have enough star power to light up Sydney Town Hall solo, but are fresh from teaming up for their show Twins at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
