This exciting evening will discuss the issues affecting the LGBTQI community in St. Petersburg and worldwide.
In a rare opportunity to hear from national and international LGBTQI peers on real and relevant issues impacting communities worldwide, the Midsumma Festival and the City of Melbourne will host an exclusive evening of discussion.
The discussion will focus on the issues affecting the LGBTQI community in St. Petersburg and worldwide. It will explore how beliefs in equality and communal activism can catalyse change.
This unique opportunity will allow LGBTQI voices living overseas to share the actual impacts of the recent changes to legislation. It will also allow other LGBTQI communities and human rights experts to explore the themes of LGBTQI identity and the role of activism in society.
Host Tom Ballard will be joined by Anna Brown, Dennis Altman, and Sally Goldner.
Midsumma Festival Chairman John Caldwell said, “Being one of Australia’s leading DGS organisations, we feel a tremendous responsibility to speak for the members of our community both domestically and internationally.”
