The 2015 Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) Retreat Committee warmly invites you to a weekend of spiritual rejuvenation and reflection in the company of other women of Spirit.
This year over 25 Women of Spirit will gather at Chittick Lodge, situated in picturesque Gerringong at the gateway to the NSW South Coast for Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) Sydney’s Australasian Network.
The Retreat begins on Friday evening, 9 October, and ends after lunch on Sunday, 11 October 2015.
2015 Retreat Coordinator, Sue Townsend, has a new committee of helpers this year and an exciting new program focusing on spiritual emergence and the search for God in everyday life. Sue encourages “everyone to be involved, to share, to be vulnerable and, most importantly, to be compassionate.”
A participant from last year, Vita, commented, “the atmosphere of love and acceptance was immediately apparent, as was the amount of time and effort that had been spent in preparing a program to allow us time with others, time alone, and time with God.”
These women’s gatherings offer far more benefits than just what’s on the program. It is a rare opportunity for women to enjoy one another’s company and be nourished in a safe and loving environment. This event affirms people from all spiritual and faith backgrounds; you don’t have to be part of a church to attend.
All women (including those who identify as women) are welcome. This Retreat is fully catered and will offer all of the previous opportunities to enjoy lots of music, discussion, reflection time, activities and relaxation on nearby Werri Beach. Best of all is the chance to come together as women of spirit and return to everyday life with a renewed sense of purpose.
