Written by playwright Amy Dellagiarino and Lisa Cordileone (Easy Abby), this comedy film gives a unique perspective on the lives of the often-forgotten women in tech changing the landscape of the industry.
Featuring a headline cast including Alexandra Billings (Transparent), Natasha Negovanlis (Carmilla), Jennifer Bartels (American Woman), Mouzam Makkar (Champions) and Megan Cavanagh (A League of Their Own), Freelancers Anonymous follows character Billie’s desperate need for a change after quitting her job just months before getting married.
Billie, played by Lisa Cordileone, finds herself at a crossroads while the reaction from her fiancée Gayle isn’t what she’s expecting. After meeting a “ragtag group of women” also looking for employment, Billie’s struck with the idea of cultivating their combined skillsets to create an app for freelancers like themselves.
