The film Mixed Messages follows London dyke, Ren, as she navigates the treacherous terrain of the Berlin queer scene.

From speed-dating to bondage, meditation to menstrual cup mishaps, each unfortunate adventure adds to Ren’s confused love CV until the only way out is to send a few mixed messages of her own.

Written and directed by BAFTA-nominated Kanchi Wichmann and starring Alana Lake and Cleo Jacobe, this sharp-witted and cringingly awkward comedy of ill manners shows the flipside to the hipster image of Berlin.
