LOTL-Portrait was founded by LGBTQI+ community leader Silke Bader in 2021.
Each Tuesday, we will offer LOTL Readers to take their pictures, and then deliver them as a digital file — free of charge.
LOTL-Portrait gives people a chance to capture a moment, a memory…and a whole lot more.
Studio 2, located in the heart of Potts Point, NSW is the sponsor of this initiative, providing professional studio space.
All photos will also be published on the newly established LOTL gallery on lotl.com.
And there is more: Studio 2 not only provides a natural light photography studio, but also a soundproof recording studio.
“Visibility of our diverse community through photos or videos is what we are striving for,” says Silke Bader, producer and publisher of LOTL. ” Everyone loves looking at pictures, our online gallery will be a celebration of the queer community in Australia”.
The 30 minutes photo shoots will need to be booked in advance.

How will it work?
You have the choice to book in for the 30 minutes photography session and/or a 10 minutes Video Recording.
You will receive a digital selection of high res and raw files within 2-3 days FREE OF CHARGE.
At the time of booking, we will ask you to sign a release form, which will allow LOTL to post your image to the LOTL -Portrait gallery on lotl.com.
If you decide to take part in the video recording, we will be providing you with up to 10 questions, which will require a short answer:
Example:
- How do you identify
- Relationship Status
- Describe the item you brought and what it means to you
- ….. we will tailor the question to the current events such as “a lockdown highlight” etc etc
Those video snippets from different people will be edited to create 5 minutes videos to be published on LOTL’s YouTube channel.
LOTL-Portrait will start a movement and will help tell our story. Our lives, our loves, our passion.
