Guests can discover Eaglereach in a variety of ways. On foot, escorted trail rides, mountain bikes or self-drive Discovery Buggies. Every day can be an adventure from the accessible private rainforest, to the lookout at the Mount George Trig Station. A full security entry ensures total privacy and no day-trippers.
The resort’s facilities include swimming pools, tennis courts, a volley ball court, a games room and a series of dams for yabbying. Goonarook Lagoon is another superb location for swimming, kayaking and a challenge to those who care to throw out a line for sport fishing. All non motorised equipment and activities are complementary as is the internet kiosk and DVD library. A comprehensive activity program is available to suit every need and level of activity from guided rainforest walks to massages in the Lowanna Wellbeing centre where guests can relax, revitalize and rejuvenate in lush surroundings..
Treehops restaurant awarded Best Resort Restaurant in the Hunter region 2008 is located on site and features fresh local produce. Its evening menu boasts a Modern Australian style teamed with traditional favourites under the supervision of Sir Richard Branson’s former chef. Hot breakfast is included in the tariff. Casual snacks are also served on the Observatory Deck which attracts a prolific range of native animals and bird life that can be viewed up close by guests.
The surrounding area offers some wonderful local attractions for self-drive or guided tours. These include the local Hunter vineyards, historical villages such as Morpeth, Port Stephens for dolphin cruises and the Barrington Tops National Park. Eaglereach also caters to the corporate sector, with the Aloota Centre featuring six locations for functions and conferences, including two turnkey business centres.
