Better take Hayley Teal serious with this impressive EP ‘Do You Love It’

Former X-Factor contestant Hayley Teal is back with the impressive EP Do You Love It, which is out now or on iTunes later this month.  Set to officially launch the EP on 25 June with a live performance of the EP at St Kilda’s Cellar Bar (see details below) I’ve got the breakdown of Do You Love It here for you.

The title track “Do You Love It” has a lot of swagger and RnB pop that perfectly showcases Teal’s pop voice. Powerful piano chords highlight the ballad “Boomerang” and it’s here that Teal shines, not only with her vocals but songwriting capability.

It’s clear that “Fake It” is set to hit the radio waves with its catchy pop hook and impactful lyrics. Teal has noted that this EP reflects on difficult romantic situations and the challenges of making it in the ruthless music industry and this track highlight the latter well.

“Best Mistake I’ve Ever Made” bounces all the way through the verse and into the chorus, which has us all set to get up and dance in the aisle.  Finally “Show Business” completes the journey and is reminiscent of early 2000’s pop.

Do You Love It was born from a Pozible crowdfunding campaign and is supported by Australian producers Jhay Cabrera and Sydney’s Michael Tan? This five-track EP doesn’t disappoint.
