Telling the story of a good girl gone bad.
Metropolis America was born in Philadelphia in 2010 and has been putting a chilling twist on rock ’n’ roll ever since.
Calling their style “cold rock,” the band has seen their audience steadily growing over the past few years with the release of each single. Cristian Mora (singer/songwriter) and Rick Eddy (drummer) label themselves as children of the Cold War—they were born into a time of “tension, propaganda, and the struggle for global influence.”
Greg Kinter (guitarist) completed the trio, and together they’ve created their own sound that stems from Cold War-era sentiments.
The inspiration behind Metropolis America’s “A Stolen Heart in a Stolen Car” came from Mora’s passion for love stories played out on the big screen. A few of his favourites include True Romance, Natural Born Killers, and Love and a .45. Both Cristian Mora and his wife are passionate about LGBT advocacy. Their vision for this video was to create a romantic display of their LGBT alliance.
Filmed in Kuala Lampur, the good girl gone bad story in this video follows a jaded love between two young women. After running away from their conservative homes in a stolen Mercedes, the couple elopes and jumps straight into a downward spiralling relationship. Seduction, playfulness and passion quickly turn into doubt and fear as jealousy becomes too much to contain.
