The Marriage Alliance has complained that the two free to air networks have refused to air its TV ad dealing with what it believes to be the negative consequences of marriage equality.
Australian Marriage Equality national campaign director, Ivan Hinton-Teoh, said,
“The decision not to air the ad is a commercial decision for the television stations concerned. We believe most viewers will see the ad for what it is, scaremongering. We will be launching our own ad on Sunday, and have already raised over $8,000 to air it, primarily from people who were offended by the Marriage Alliance ad.”
