Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are apparently planning a second wedding in Portia’s home country of Australia.
A source told Australia’s Woman’s Day magazine: “They’re recreating the beautiful wedding they had in 2008 with a few new twists.
“This second wedding will be a fresh start for them. They’re so in love.”
The couple has been together since 2004, marrying in an intimate ceremony at their Beverley Hills home in 2008 after same-sex marriage was made legal in the US. This second wedding will reportedly take place in the summer of 2018.
Currently, lesbian and gay couples in Australia are excluded from marriage. Citizens have until 7 November to vote on marriage equality with results from the current postal vote expected on 15 November.
Ellen has come out in support of Australian marriage equality on a number of occasions, writing in a Tweet in September: “I appreciate my wife every day. I can’t imagine calling her anything else.”
She added the hashtags: #WifeAppreciationDay #AustraliaMarriageEquality #VoteYes.
