EY is proud to be named 2018 Employer of the Year by ACON’s Pride in Diversity.
The award is part of the Australian Workplace Equality Index – Australia’s national benchmark on LGBTI workplace inclusion.
“We are super excited and absolutely humbled,” said Lynn Kraus, Oceania Advisory Managing Partner, and the executive sponsor for Unity, EY’s LGBTI network.
EY received the highest ranking in the history of the Australian Workplace Equality Index and was also named an AWEI Gold Employer.
“I could not be more proud of the team. To get from where we were five years ago, to where we are today, has been a lot of hard work and a lot of persistence,” Ms Kraus said.
“We’ve done a lot of awareness training and education, and I’d like to extend my thanks to all those who have helped us on this journey,” she added.
“The Index is a comparative benchmark which is comprehensive and rigorous. To have come out on top is a testament to the strong foundations EY has put in place to support LGBTI employees and to support diversity in general.
“We’ve made a lot of progress, but we won’t be complacent. Our employees say they want an inclusive workplace and that’s what we try to create every day,” Ms Kraus concluded.
