Paul Zahra’s addition will help to enhance the national scholarship programs the Pinnacle Foundation offers.
Paul Zahra, the former David Jones CEO and a director of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will step into the role of Chair of The Pinnacle Foundation.
The immediate focus of Zahra will be to add new board members that will enhance the national scholarship and mentorship programs the Foundation offers. These programs aim to empower marginalised and disadvantaged 16-24-year-old LGBTIQ students to complete their studies.
The new Chair will begin looking for additional board members that encompass a wealth of experiences and connections. This will help Foundation grow its support base in corporate Australia.
Zahra is replacing Co-Founder Sean Linkson, who will continue in his position as CEO and will concentrate on Pinnacle’s fundraising endeavours which are highly reliant on both individual and corporate donations.
Linkson said, “As a powerful role model for our young scholars, we’re delighted to appoint current Board Director, Paul Zahra, as Chair of the Foundation. Through his exceptional leadership skills, the position will see him spearhead the next exciting stage of Pinnacle’s growth and facilitate conversations to champion young LGBTIQ scholars in the Australian workplace.”
Zahra said, “It is an honour to take on this position and help Pinnacle continue to give young disadvantaged LGBTIQ students the confidence to kick-start their career path and achieve their full potential.”
He said that he is excited to welcome new members to the board and mentorship program.
