Natalie Bassingthwaighte revealed in an interview with Stellar magazine and its podcast Something To Talk About that she has separated from her husband of 12 years, Cameron McGlinchey, and is now in a relationship with a woman who makes her heart smile and makes her happy.

She said that she and McGlinchey had an amicable split and still respect and love each other as co-parents of their two children, Harper and Hendrix. She also said that she was terrified of the public interest and the media’s threat to out her before she was ready to speak her truth. She said she sought advice from her ex-husband, who supported her and told her to own her truth.

She did not disclose her new partner’s identity but was grateful for her support and happiness. She also hoped her story would inspire others to be true to themselves and live authentically.
