Newcastle Pride has won Best Fair Day Stall of The Year at the recent Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Awards in Sydney.
“The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Awards recognise excellence across the 2019 season of events, including stalls involved in Fair Day” said Lee-Anne McDougall, Founder of Newcastle Pride.
“Newcastle Pride would like to thank a number of people who made this award possible including Judy Nadin from Rusty Vault who designed our branding for the marquee and other collateral used to decorate the stall, and, of course, our volunteers who helped with the stall on the day, selling merchandise and providing information about Newcastle Pride and our upcoming Newcastle Pride Festival.”
Newcastle Pride Co-Founder Ivan Skaines said “this award is particularly exciting since Newcastle Pride has been in existence for less than 12 months.”
“We would also like to acknowledge the support of a number of organisations who have contributed to our success over the past 12 months including Australia Post, Hunter IVF, Port Waratah Coal Services, Newcastle City Council, ACON, Hunt & Gather Events, the Newcastle Herald and HIT106.9.”
