Move over Mia Wasikowska, Rooney Mara is taking over her role in the film adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s 1952 lesbian novel The Price of Salt. The film (which has been re-titled) Carol has cast Cate Blanchett to play the role of a wealthy, married older woman who falls in love with a younger woman played Mara. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Mara getting physical with a woman (Side Effects). We’re curious to see the chemistry between these two. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has unanimously decided to uphold the ban on gay-to-straight Conversion Therapy.
