From the creators of the hit podcast, Lez Hang Out comes a brand new scripted musical podcast The Flame!

This Musical Romantic Comedy will be available where all podcasts are downloaded in early Spring 2021.

The Flame tells the story of two women: Jamie, a queer bar owner, and Sam, the woman selling the building the bar inhabits, and the inevitable sparks that end up flying between them!

With the help of her best friend, Heather, and bar regular Jo, can the residents of The Flame keep the bar alive? Or can Sam’s friend Mel help her work through her complicated feelings about her father’s death and the building she grew up in before she makes a rash decision?

The Flame will be an 8 episode limited series, featuring some of the brightest talents across Film, Theatre, TV, and voiceover! The Series is Produced by Ellie Brigida (Scoring and Music Producer), Leigh Holmes Foster (Composer), Valerie Rose Lohman (Executive Producer), and Caitlyn Clear (Book).

The star-studded cast includes Jasmin Savoy Brown ( HBO’s “The Leftovers ) as Sam, Jenn Colella (Tony Nominee, “Come From Away”) as Jo, Chilina Kennedy (“Beautiful: The Carol King Musical” on Broadway) as Rachel, Harrison White (“Waiting in the Wings”) as The
Narrator, Valerie Rose Lohman (BAFTA Nominee, “What Remains of Edith Finch”) as Mel, Ellie Brigida (Lez Hang Out) as Jamie, Leigh Holmes Foster (Lez Hang Out) as Heather, and Jesse Nowack (Youtube’s “PinkBlue”) as Harold.

The project is produced by Lez Hang Out productions. Lez Hang Out has been featured on LOGO’s list of podcasts in the golden age of queer women, and HER’s list of ” The Best LGBTQ+ Podcasts You Should Be Listening To “. Their mission and passion is to highlight
diverse representation on screen and to create the content for our community that we’ve always wanted to see.

The Lez Hang Out team writes and produces original songs based on Lesbian TV shows and movies plus all of their jingles. Leigh Holmes Foster and Ellie Brigida are a musical dream team, complementing each other in every way.

“We both grew up performing in musical theatre…our love for music and positive representation resonates through everything that we do. The next logical step was for us to write and star in our own podcast musical. We wrote the story and realized we couldn’t do this alone! We reached out to Valerie Rose Lohman for guidance and she loved the project so much that she hopped on board as our executive producer and to play the role of Mel. She got us in touch with Caitlyn Clear whose writing style has us in stitches after every draft. The producers, director, writer and lead characters on this project are members of the LGBTQ community. We are committed to adding to the great storytelling landscape supporting the LGBTQ community. We’ve been working all summer writing original songs and scripts and we can’t wait to bring it to your ears in June 2021! ”
